About the Authors
Brien was born in a small town in Illinois, moved around a lot, and spent the bulk of his childhood in Arizona before ending up in Wisconsin where he is finishing college. Beth was also born in a small town in Illinois and after a short period of moving around ended up in northern Wisconsin.
Brien and Beth met in college through a mutual friend and after a few years and of dating were married in July of 2003.
Beth graduated college in December of 2004 with a B.A. in creative writing and now works as a freelance writer. Brien will graduate in May of 2005 with a B.S. in both Computer Science and Mathematics; he currently owns his own programming business. Brien and Beth started a business making and selling natural lip balms and lotions.
Brien was raised by parents who are foodies and wine connoisseurs, and his sister is currently a chef at the number one restaurant in the Bay area. He learned to appreciate gourmet food and wine and opened up this experience to Beth. In late 2004 Brien took Beth to San Francisco to visit his sister for the holidays and Beth had her first experience with the wine country.
After Brien graduates college, the two plan on moving out to the west coast to be closer to the beach, the food and the wine.
